Kevin B. Wiggins is a Partner in the Firm’s Dallas office. He is an experienced trial attorney and mediator. His primary areas of practice include complex commercial litigation, including antitrust and business tort claims, labor and employment litigation, including class action claims, real estate and construction litigation, defense of governmental entities, including civil rights and qui tam claims, and civil appeals. He is also a former Justice of the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Dallas, Texas.
EXPERIENCE
- Achieved dismissal of class action claims against major soft drink distributor accused of race discrimination in violation of Title VII
- Achieved dismissal of class action claims against major utility company accused of assessing improper charges in connection with installation of new metering system
- Achieved defense verdict on behalf of governmental entity in qui tam claim involving allegations of Clean Water Act violations
- Achieved defense verdict on behalf of municipality and individual police officers accused of civil rights offenses involving the use of excessive force
- Achieved defense verdict on behalf of bank in Title VII race discrimination retaliation claim
- Representation of toll authority in condemnation cases
- Representation of school district in historical preservation claim
